Hello everyone,

George Louris here of The BusyGuy Fit Club, a new igroops membership site. (http://busyguyfitclub.com)

Ladies, don't let the site name fool you, the "BusyGuy" is actually me. :)

As a certified trainer with a wife and two little girls, a Fitness Studio owner and a 60 hour a week job in corporate America, I understand what it's like to have a hectic life. But I also understand the importance of staying in shape and achieving optimal health so that I can continue to keep up with my hectic lifestyle and all the demands it places on me (not to mention being able to keep up with my children!).

I know most of you are no different. The demands of today's world are real and they have a real effect on not only our health and well being, but the amount of time and effort we can put into actually achieving a healthy lifestyle.

The BusyGuy Fit Club takes all of that into account and was developed for the ultra-busy person in mind from the ground up. This is not a site for body-builders but for REAL people with REAL struggles and REAL fat burning, time saving solutions.

One of the most valuable resources of the site are the workouts which are designed to last no longer than 15 minutes (most are 12 minutes or less) and can be done from the comfort of your own home with no (or minimal) equipment.

The workouts are fast and super-effective for those who are looking to lose fat, get fit and get that six pack along the way.

With exercise, nutritional and motivational resources and advice, everything you need for optimal fat loss in minimal time can be found in the BusyGuy Fit Club (and if you think something is missing, I'll be glad to add it!).

All this for less than a movie ticket and a small popcorn a month! ;)

Come check us out, I promise you won't be dissapointed.

Hey George, very nice looking site!

Here are my comments upon looking at what I could (without joining - I'm not in the market and I'm afraid I'm too lazy to opt out before the 14 day trial expires!).

1) The graphics look very sharp. I like the rotating images on the left sidebar. I don't remember seeing a way to do this from within iGroops. Did you use an IFRAME?

2) There is not much free content other than the blog and biweekly newsletter that I could notice by scanning for a few minutes. Everything needs a membership. My belief, in most cases, is that you might be able to build more critical mass of visitors if you could get people to stick around for a while before they decide to join. Let them get comfortable with you.

3) Having the testimonials in the right side column is great, but I'd be tempted to move them up to "above the fold". On my laptop, I didn't see them without scrolling.

4) Nice comparison between the memberhip cost and "the price of a movie and popcorn a month..." That should get them at their pain point!

5) Referring back to my point about not being in the market, I would consider giving iGroops administrators free permanent memberships, if only to let them browse around and give you more constructive comments. But I think having a bigger startup promo of free memberships in general for a period might help grow the participation faster. It would be good if we could all learn how fast you are able to grow your membership and forum participation with just a blanket 14 day free trial period. In my case, I think I need more incentives to get people participating for a while.

Best of luck!

- Scott

Scott,

Thank you so much for the feedback, it's appreciated!

-When you say "rotating images", I assume you mean the member pictures? If so, that is a function of the photo album application. As far as the graphics...THANKS!!! I just started fiddling around with Photoshop a couple of months ago and learned some basic from scracth. What you see is the result of trial and error and is actually the 4th or 5th version of the graphics.

-Good point. A couple of the videos are free and a couple of the blog posts, but other than that, you're right. I'll have to think abou this...

-I'm going to see if I can make the "sign up for the ezine" graphic smaller to at least squeeze the testimonials into the fold. Good suggestion.

-Not a bad idea regarding the free membership...send me an email and we can get started with you!!! :)
