Les Brown exudes tremendous confidence and one gets interested to know what is "Toastmasters" all about. Very many people have fears of public speaking and would love to improve their communication and leadership skills.

I studied in Antonio D'Souza High School in Byculla, Mumbai. I did participate in debates and elocution competitions. Later in K.C. College Mumbai, I again actively participated in public speaking, winning a number of citations. However, when I started working, I knew of no forum or institute that would help me enhance my communication and leadership skills.

Many years later, I saw a Toastmasters magazine in one of my colleagues tables and then I was cajoled to attend one such meeting in the Abu Dhabi Chapter 1950. I was very inspired and once again the passion of speaking effectively came alive and now since the last four years there is no looking back. I am enjoying being a Toastmaster - Infact, I love being a Toastmaster.

I agree with Les Brown that indeed Toastmasters can make you an effective communicatior. And I appeal to anyone reading this and interested in public speaking and improving his over all personality to join Toastmasters - yes Toastmasters.

My deepest respects and regards to Dr. Smedley who humanised this world with this brilliant Toastmastering Program.
